Jackson gets 'Married'

Janet Jackson has come aboard to star opposite Tyler Perry in his next film, "Why Did I Get Married," based on the filmmaker's stage play of the same name.
Perry is writing, directing and producing for Lionsgate. Lensing is set to begin March 5 in Whistler, British Columbia; Vancouver; and then Atlanta, where Perry recently opened his own studio.

Sharon Leal ("Dreamgirls") and Jill Scott have also joined the cast.

The fourth film in Perry's lucrative franchise, "Why Did I Get Married" revolves around a couple who go away with friends every winter to examine their marriages in a group setting. One of the wives brings along a sexy young temptress who causes plenty of trouble for the couples.

Reuben Cannon is producing with Perry.Jackson was last seen on the bigscreen in 2000 in "Nutty Professor II: The Clumps," starring opposite Eddie Murphy.

Perry is in theaters with "Daddy's Little Girls," which has grossed $25.1 million since its Feb. 14 release.

22 February 2007 :  Janet attended Jennifer Hudson's Pre-Oscars Party

Janet attended Jennifer Hudson's Pre-Oscars Party last night at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills along with her friend

Gil Duldulao. The party was thrown by Giant Magazine and actor Jamie Foxx in honor of Jennifer Hudson's Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for her role in the film Dreamgirls.(all the picx here)!!

Future Appearances
Janet will be at Jennifer Hudson's pre-Oscar party held by Jamie Foxx this Wednesday, so I guess we can expect new pics soon.
Janet will be visiting the board when things are set in stone. She's really busy right now, so that's why she hasn't been on here.

Tour/Business Affairs
Janet still has a manager and a publicist and once things are cleared up, she will future events will be announced.
Janet is currently in Los Angeles
Janet wants to tour for the fans and we won't hear about a tour unless it's coming from a PR person. When that will happen is unclear.
The tour is supposed to be worldwide, including Europe and Australia; they want to hit up everywhere.
The concepts, the choreography, the staging, setlist, costumes, etc. have already been completed for the tour.
When asked if Janet still owed Virgin anything on her contract, he said Janet doesn't owe anyone anything, so I guess we can take it that her contract obligation is completed.
The tour is supposed to be an all out dance/artistic show.
The tour will not open nor will it end with Weekend and Just a Little While
As far as getting good seats, some people in the back might win front row seats as well as diehard fans.
The dancers are fine
The Call on Me choreography will be on the tour
There will be a Meet and Greet
Do it 2 Me and other uptempo songs off of 20 Y.O. will be performed

Future business/life
Janet is talking to another label right now, but the label she is considering is remaining confidential and she is getting offers from different labels.
She is NOT pregnant (I told yall  )
It is uncertain whether or not she would release one of her old concert DVD's
He also suggested she should release her unreleased songs and that might actually happen
Janet will make a deep album and voice her opinion
Empty will not be performed
It was Janet's idea to have less girls; Danielle was not meant for a group thing, which is why she's no longer there.
Some of her music will be used as a soundtrack but the time frame is unknown
There will be a new fan site
This board will probably be closed
No future promo for 20 Y.O., including performances

Personal Thoughts
He does keep in touch with past dancers
He's met Janet's family
In ten years he sees himself still doing choreography but in a more artistic direction and in possibly directing TV films.
Janet was well aware of what he was writing on his blogs.

Janet will be honored for her numerous accomplishments at this years Third Annual Ebony Pre-Oscar Celebration. The event will be held on Thursday, February 22 at the Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood.

The Ebony Pre-Oscar Celebration honors African-Americans whose numerous accomplishments have inspired and who continue to make a difference in the world of film and television.

Halle Berry, Forest Whitaker and Herbie Hancock will also be honored at this special event.

01 Feb 2007 : Janet invited to perform at "World Peace One"

On 11 August 2007, EarthOne Productions will deliver "World Peace One," the largest humanitarian event ever experienced.

The official website announced already a list of Artists who will be invited to participate at the "World Peace One" Event. Janet, among many other artists, is said to be possibly taking part of this.

The event will broadcast "live" from 15 primary host cities and will reach more than 3.5 billion people in more than 180 countries.

Info: The World Peace One, Inc. organization, was founded in 2006 to help move an emerging world community away from war and toward a state of peace, abundance, and prosperity.
